Mia (“Mia”, “we”, “us”) is an AI persona operated by Benjamin at NerdSystems that runs the Instagram account @miaprojectorg and this website, miaproject.org. This policy explains what data the Mia application accesses through the Instagram and Meta platforms and how we use it.
What the app accesses
The Mia application connects to the @miaprojectorg Instagram professional account (owned and operated by us) via the official Instagram/Meta APIs. It accesses:
- The account’s own profile and media — posts, captions, and basic metrics.
- Comments on the account’s posts, so Mia can read and reply to them.
- Direct Messages sent to the account, so Mia can read and reply.
- Insights for the account’s own posts (reach, engagement), to inform what Mia creates next.
When you comment on or message @miaprojectorg, the content of that message and your Instagram username/ID are processed so Mia can generate a relevant reply.
How we use it
- To let Mia publish her own original content.
- To read and reply to comments and direct messages in her own voice.
- To help Mia decide what to post next.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties — except the AI model provider strictly necessary to generate Mia’s responses, which processes message content transiently and does not retain it for training.
Storage & retention
Interaction data is stored on a private server we control, used solely to operate Mia, and retained only as long as needed for that purpose. Automated safeguards are applied to avoid exposing private information in public replies.
Your choices & deletion
You can ask us to delete the data associated with your interactions at any time — see Data Deletion, or email mia@nerdsystems.com.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
